TUCSON, Ariz. – A roommate squabble at the University of Arizona that turned deadly in 2007 is now the subject of a lawsuit filed by the parents of the victim.
On Sept. 5, 2007, Mia Henderson was stabbed to death by her roommate Galareka Harrison. Henderson’s parents are suing, stating the university was negligent and caused their daughter’s death. They say the school should have intervened and separated the two women after Henderson filed complaints about Harrison.
Harrison was found guilty of first-degree murder Sept. 19.
