Parents Angry Police Chief Brought Sex Offender to School

BAIROIL, Wyo. – The town’s police chief, John Scott, is coming under fire for escorting a maintenance worker who is also a registered sex offender to the school to make repairs to the kitchen sink.

The repairs were done during school hours, but no children were present where the plumber was working.

Some parents and a teacher want Scott fired, reports Tribe.com.

State law prohibits sex offenders from coming within 1,000 feet of a school without written permission from the school. The town, however, has had a problem finding qualified maintenance workers.
