BIRMINGHAM, England — Police questioned two people at Queen Elizabeth Hospital seeking to find the teenage Pakistani activist, who is recovering at the hospital after being shot by the Taliban.
The Taliban shot 14-year-old Malala Yousufzai in the head last week for promoting girls’ education and condemning the militant group’s behavior. She was airlifted to Britain to receive specialized medical care and protection from possible follow-up attacks by the militant organization, reports Fox News.
A hospital representative said several individuals showed up at the facility claiming to be the girl’s relatives. However, the hospital staff does not believe the suspects were part of the Taliban, just over-curious people.
