A former security officer who worked at a Pa. school district has been charged for allegedly “initiating aggression” with a middle school student.
Shaun Thomas, 28, was charged with simple assault and harassment after allegedly pushing a 13-year-old student’s head into a lunch table on Nov. 2, according to triblive.com.
Thomas had worked for State Security and Investigation Services, a private security firm employed by the Steel Valley School District. The firm fired Thomas before charges were filed.

The criminal complaint states that Thomas was in the cafeteria when he asked two students to stop making so much noise. The 13-year-old continued to be loud, swore at Thomas and balled up his fists as if he was going to punch the officer.
Thomas then approached the sitting student and shoved his head against the cafeteria table.
District Superintendent Ed Wehrer said the officer was escorted off the school’s property after the principal separated him from the student.
