OSU Suspends Sorority Until 2016 for Hazing

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Officials at Ohio State University (OSU) has suspended the Epsilon chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. until fall 2016 in response to alleged hazing incidents.

The OSU Code of Student Conduct states that acts of hazing “may include, but are not limited to, use of alcohol, creation of excessive fatigue, and paddling, punching or kicking in any form.” Officials would not provide any specific details about the type of incidents that took place on campus, but said they centered on hazing, 10TV.com reports.

The Epsilon chapter can petition for reinstatement in 2016, which must include a full pan of how the will not repeat the hazing behavior and assure school officials that they will abide the code of student conduct.
