On-Net Surveillance Systems Inc. (OnSSI) has teamed up with homeland security technology firm Defentect for a research demonstration project run by San Diego State University’s (SDSU) homeland security program and the SDSU Immersive Visualization Center.

OnSSI will help create a permanent gamma radiation detection perimeter system by incorporating its Ocularis IP video command-and-control software. The system will also include Defentect’s GT2 gamma radiation detection sensor technology, DM3 sensor management, monitoring and messaging platform.

“Ocularis offers functionality that perfectly complements the other technologies used in this demonstration project,” says Mulli Diamant, vice president of sales, OnSSI. “We are pleased to be a part of this project which takes the hypothetical out of the equation and shows a reality-based scenario. In the real world, the benefits of Ocularis become quite obvious.”
