Old Dominion U. PD to Go Undercover to Monitor Off-Campus Parties

NORFORLK, Va. — Old Dominion University (ODU) police will go undercover at house parties near campus after two shootings occurred at gatherings off campus this past weekend.

The latest operation is the latest attempt by ODU police to keep students safe. Last week, campus police, along with Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control officers monitored outside parties in off-campus neighborhoods, HamptonRoads.com reports.

Campus officials issued a safety alert warning students to avoid off-campus parties. Additionally, ODU police urged members of the campus community who live in the area to contact them to discuss safety.
