STILLWATER, Oklahoma – An early morning shooting on Sunday left three individuals injured outside a residential hall at Oklahoma State University (OSU), according to authorities. The incident occurred around 3:40 a.m. local time near Carreker Hall East, a student dormitory on the Stillwater campus.

The Oklahoma State University Police Department (OSUPD) confirmed that one of the injured is a student at the university, reports News9. All of the victims were promptly transported to hospitals in Oklahoma City and Tulsa for medical treatment. No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.

OSU Police Chief Mike Beckner reported that the shooting began in a campus breezeway, moved to a parking lot, and concluded on a nearby street. Initial reports suggest a large, private party took place off-campus prior to the incident, with some attendees making their way to the residential hall where the shooting unfolded.
Beckner mentioned a “disagreement” among attendees but did not provide further specifics.
One victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds, while the other two sustained single gunshot injuries. As of Sunday, two victim remained in the hospital in stable condition, reports OKCFox.
Despite the severity of the situation, authorities assured that there is no ongoing threat to campus safety. The OSUPD described the event as an isolated incident, and the suspect is believed to have left the campus.
