STREETSBORO, Ohio – Streetsboro City Schools will spend more than $46,000 to install security cameras on 24 school buses.
Each bus will include three cameras, with the front camera located near the driver, and a digital recorder, Record-Courier reports.
By adding the cameras, the district hopes to enable drivers to concentrate on the road rather than poor-behaving students in the seats behind them. Rather, the cameras will capture incidents that occur on the buses.
The district has contracted with Audiax Communications, who will provide the DVRs and will install the cameras.
