Ohio Fraternity Hazing Turns Violent

Several students were seriously injured during a fraternity initiation at Ohio University. Among the injured was an 18-year old college student from Prospect, Ky.

According to WHAS11.com, freshman Michael Pristera suffered broken bones, a chipped tooth and bruises in the shape of hand prints. A second pledge told police he was blindfolded and forced to chug alcohol while fraternity members slapped him. Police are investigating Delta Tau Delta’s alleged hazing.

According to Dean of Students Ryan Lombardi, if the allegations are true, penalties may include probation or complete removal of guilty individuals or the organization.
