Approximately 200 New York University Langone Medical Center patients were evacuated Monday night after the hospital’s back-up generator failed. Forty-five of the patients evacuated were critical care patients, reports ABC News.
Sloan Kettering Hospital received NYU patients, as did New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
ABC also reports that Bellevue Hospital lost backup power due to a generator failure. The generators were operating due to power outages resulting from Hurricane Sandy.
