Plan was to expose teacher to antibacterial products because she was highly allergic to them.

Three 9-year-old female students at Elba Elementary School wanted to kill their fourth grade teacher with hand sanitizer in December.

Authorities say the students planned to spread antibacterial products around the classroom because their teacher is highly allergic to them, reports WGRZ.

A motive for the alleged plot is not clear. One student said the targeted teacher “yells a lot.” A report from the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department indicates there might have been bullying in the classroom.

Full details about the incident and those involved were not released due to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

The alleged plot was foiled when another student who was not involved in the plan told his mother about it, reports People. The girls have been suspended but will not be charged criminally. The Elba Central School District is handling the matter.
