N.Y. Student Claims Guards' Actions Led to Stabbing

A 17-year-old student who was attacked outside of the Jonathan Levin High School of Media and Communications is suing the Department of Education and the City of New York for $6 million.

In his lawsuit, Gustavo Ramos claims security officers closed school doors on his hands as he tried to escape a gang fight outside, according to Gothamist.com. Ramos was reportedly knocked to the ground, hit in the face with a baseball bat and stabbed three times. He spent six days in the hospital.

A teen has been arrested for the attack.
