A Northern Virginia Community College professor dodged bullets from a high-powered rifle as a 20-year-old student allegedly shot at her.

The suspected shooter, Jason Michael Hamilton, allegedly walked through the main administration building before entering the classroom on Dec. 8. The teacher was able to see the gun and take cover just as bullets were shot over her head.

The suspect, who was angry about his grades, was only able to fire two shots because his gun jammed. According to the Associated Press, he then left the room, sat in a chair and waited for police.

Hamilton has been arrested on charges of attempted murder and discharging a firearm in a school zone, reports the Washington Examiner.
