HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – Hoping to prevent a repeat of the Virginia Tech tragedy, a panel of law agency officials and administrators gathered on July 30 to find ways of improving security at North Carolina’s colleges and universities.

The panel is currently working on a blueprint for improved campus security. They plan to release their findings to the attorney general in the fall.
