Newhall School District May Implement Additional Security

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The Newhall (Calif.) School District’s board is considering implementing new security measures that might include alarm systems and additional police patrols.

The move was prompted because the district recently experienced a string of burglaries and vandalism, which has cost Newhall schools approximately $12,630. Most of the items stolen were computers and other electronics.
