New Social Media Site Encourages Users to Spill Secrets

A new social media Web site that allows users to anonymously post “secrets” or thoughts has become quite popular in a relatively short time.

Whisper.sh launched just 18 months ago, and it already boasts three billion page views per month, CNBC.com reports. Unlike other social media sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, Whisper encourages readers to spill secrets they would only tell close friends or relatives.

A report by Business Insider noted that most users are between the ages 17 and 28, the majority being female (70%). Users tend to use the mobile app for an average of 20 minutes a day, checking content between eight and 10 times a day.
