WASHINGTON – Two men were arrested Oct. 22 for a plot to go on a national killing spree, shooting and decapitating black students and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.
Twenty-year-old Daniel Cowart and 18-year-old Paul Schlesselman, two white supremacists described as neo-Nazi skinheads, targeted an unidentified predominantly black school. The suspects planned to kill 88 people – 14 by beheading. According to court documents, the spree was to end by the men driving towards Obama, and firing shots at him.
On Oct. 27, the two were charged with possessing an unregistered firearm, conspiring to steal firearms from a federally licensed gun dealer and threatening a candidate for president. The suspects are being held without bond.
