A man was charged with aggravated assault after hitting two women in the lobby of a New Jersey hospital on Jan. 14.
Joseph Pyne has been in jail since his arrest and is facing $40,000 bail for his alleged assault of two visitors of Morristown Medical Center, according to dailyrecord.com.
A police investigation found that Pyne assaulted a 28-year-old female before assaulting a 45-year-old female who tried to intervene in the confrontation.
Pyne was detained by members of the hospital’s Public Safety and Security Department, who immediately called Morristown police.

The alleged victims were treated at the hospital and released with no serious injuries.
“Working in tandem with the Morristown Police Department, our team was able to quickly control the situation and remove the offender from hospital premises,” a Morristown Medical Center spokesperson said.
