MPRI BeamHit Laser Marksmanship Training System

Published: March 8, 2010

The Laser Marksmanship Training System (LMTS) from MPRI of Old Town Alexandria, Va., is a tool for teaching remedial, basic and advanced shooting skills. LMTS was designed specifically for professionals whose lives depend on maintaining excellent marksmanship skills.

LMTS is comprised of an eye-safe laser that fits into the barrel of any firearm with no modification. An electronic target acts as a receiver for the laser bullet. When the hammer falls, a laser pulse is emitted, and hits are registered with absolute precision. As many as 10 targets may be linked with one personal computer for real-time display of shots, time of fire, dispersion of the group, and mean point of impact.
