Mother Allegedly Tampers With Baby’s IV

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A security camera at the Carolinas Medical Center caught a mother on tape allegedly tampering with the IV of her five-month-old baby.

The baby has a cleft palate and has been hospitalized for several months for various health problems, the Daily Mail reports. Ladonna Parlier, 26, reportedly put an “unknown substances into her daughter’s intravenous tube.

Parlier, who has four children, has been charged with five counts of felony child abuse and misdemeanor child neglect.

Parlier’s brother claims she was following the instructions of a nurse and flushing the IV line with saline, The Charlotte Observer reports. She made her first appearance before a judge on Feb. 3.
