Mississippi School Hit By Tornado
JACKSON, Miss. – A tornado caused roof and window damage to three buildings at Lockard Elementary School in Sunflower County March 9. There were no reports of injuries.
Prior to the tornado touching down, the principal had ordered the students into the hallways.
Several school systems throughout Mississippi, including Jefferson Davis County, Lincoln County, Hattiesburg, Brookhaven, McComb, Columbia, Petal, Richton, Marion, Lamar and Forrest, closed early in preparation of the storms.
