Missing Teenage Girl Found in Illinois Teacher's Closet

CHICAGO

A missing 17-year-old girl has been found in a male teacher’s Chicago home after the girl’s family reported her missing on Nov. 8. The girl was found hiding in the man’s closet.

Eric Wood, 24, teaches at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Waukegan, Ill. He was charged with obstructing justice after allegedly lying to officers about the teen’s whereabouts.

The girl’s brother said Wood and the girl have been in regular contact since they met at a Milwaukee car show in July, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. The teen is a student at Zion-Benton High School.
