MUSKEGON, Mich. — A 19-year-old man has been ordered to prison for a shots-fired incident near Mercy Health Partners Hackley Campus.
On Oct. 22, 2012, Jakari Pipkins shot at a hospital security officer around 1 a.m., MLive.com reports. He later ran toward a Muskegon police officer while armed with a handgun, prompting the officer to shoot at the suspect, who was not hit.
Pipkin was sentenced between three and 12 years for third-degree fleeing and eluding police, being a felon in possession of a firearm, assault with a dangerous weapon and resisting police. He also received a consecutive two year for possessing a firearm while committing a felony.
