CLAWSON, Mich. — The Clawson School Board has completed the installation of 42 cameras in school facilities across the district.
The upgrades, which cost roughly $157,900, replace an antiquated closed-circuit television system. With the new cameras, administrators can monitor campus activities via computer screens, or hand-held devices, allowing users to access any camera in the building no matter where administrators are located, The Daily Tribune reports.
Local police will also have access to the system should an incident occur. The cameras were not installed inside classrooms.
