SALT LAKE CITY — Primary Children’s Medical Center, as of June 13, requires visitors to show a picture ID to enter the facility.
The hospital uses Easy Lobby, a computerized visitor check-in program, to track who is entering and exiting the facility, the Deseret News reports. Outpatient and clinic areas will not be as tightly monitored.
The new system was implemented as a precaution, according to Mike Creason, assistant administrator for security at Primary Children’s. The new system will flag visitors requiring the attention of security personnel.
