Massachusetts High School Student Stabbed, Killed

SUDBURY, Mass. – A 15-year-old freshman at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School was stabbed to death by a 16-year-old student Jan. 19.

James Alenson was pronounced dead at a local hospital shortly after the incident, and his suspected assailant, John Odgren, was charged with murder.

After the incident, others at the 1,600-student campus were taken to the gymnasium. Students were then sent home for the remainder of the day.

Authorities describe the stabbing as “isolated incident” and say it began in a bathroom and then spilled into a hallway.
