PORTLAND, Ore. – Allied Fire & Security will host a mass notification system demonstration by Cooper Notification at Western Oregon University on Friday, June 20, 2008, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., using the facilities of Western Oregon University.

Area university and college security representatives will attend a seminar and live outdoor demonstration of the system’s capabilities.

Cooper Notification’s outdoor warning system includes wireless voice and siren speakers and outdoor digital display signage. The indoor building notification system includes indoor speakers and indoor digital display signage. Additionally, text message and email alerts with two-way communication capabilities are designed to get the message out to everyone, including off-campus students and faculty. Existing security systems, such as fire alarm, intrusion detection and access control, can integrate with Cooper Notification’s mass notification systems for improved system management and situation awareness.

Western Oregon University is located at 345 N. Monmouth Ave., Monmouth, OR. The seminar will be held in the Werner University Center, and the demonstration will be held just outside of the building after the seminar.
