Marshall University Partners with Everbridge for Mass Notification

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.
Published: July 29, 2009

Marshall University will now partner with Everbridge, formerly 3n Global, for its emergency notification needs, according to lincolnjournalinc.com.

The new system will provide emergency notifications to students, faculty and staff via text messages, E-mail and telephone.

For those individuals who have already signed up for emergency text messages, they will automatically be transferred to the new system. Additionally, new and existing students will be asked to provide a secondary E-mail address or a cell phone number that can be added to the system.

Test messages will be broadcast as the new system is phased in. Students, faculty and staff will be told of the testing dates in advance and should verify that test messages are received.
