Man Fatally Shot, Woman Wounded at Mo. Hospital
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Police are investigating a shooting at Cox South Hospital, which left one dead and another injured.
The incident occurred in the east wing of the hospital around 9:20 p.m. Saturday. When authorities arrived on the ninth floor of the wing, they discovered two victims, a male, 79 and a female, 69, both suffering from gunshot wounds, OzarksFirst.com reports.
The male victim died at 10 p.m. and it it unclear how severe the woman’s injuries are. The incident was contained to a single room and no one else was injured.
