Man Commits Suicide Outside Hospital

PITTSBURGH, A 41-year-old man drove himself to Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital on Dec. 20 and shot himself in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities do not know why Michael Markovich chose to commit suicide in an ambulance bay outside the hospital’s emergency room entrance. Investigators have no information on how he was linked to the facility.
