DARTMOUTH, Nova Scotia — A man faces three counts of attempted murder and weapons charges after he supposedly attacked his wife and two adult children at Dartmouth General Hospital on July 1.
The man, whose name has not been released, was carrying a knife, hammer and bat when he entered the facility at 4 a.m., The Chronicle Herald reports. One of his family members was in the hospital for an unrelated health problem and others were visiting.
The man entered the facility through the emergency area, and then tried to go into a locked area. A security officer noticed the weapons the man was carrying and directed him to leave the hospital. The security officer then notified police.
