LSU Police Arrest Bomb Threat Suspect

BATON ROUGE, La. — Louisiana State University officials arrested a man Wednesday in connection to a phoned-in bomb threat.

William Bouvay Jr., 42, will be charged with communicating false information of a planned bombing, the WAFB reports. He is not a student or affiliated with the university, according to officials.

The bomb threat call was received Monday morning, prompting the evacuation of thousands of workers and students. Detectives tracked the cell phone call to Skysail Ave. where police found the suspect who then confessed.

Previously, Bouvay had been accused of harassing a professor.
