BATON ROUGE, La. — The Louisiana State University (LSU) Police Department will have roughly 400 specialized law enforcement officers patrolling Tiger Stadium on game days to reduce response time in case of incidents.
Specialized officers include SWAT teams, bomb technicians and bomb-sniffing dogs. On game days, SWAT team will not patrol in full SWAT gear, The Daily Reveille reports.
LSUPD officials maintain that no specific threat prompted the increased security measures; rather, the latest change is a preventative measure. Authorities said the modifications will not affect stadium entry time.
