Los Angeles Middle School Drug Sting Scrutinized

Three administrators at Potter Middle School are being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) for conducting a sting operation where they asked a student to buy pot from a classmate suspected of dealing drugs on campus.

The sting worked: the student was able to procure marijuana from the suspect. School officials them promptly turned the suspect over to the police. The problem? It’s illegal to ask a minor to buy drugs.

The school administrators who orchestrated the sting have been reassigned while the LAPD conducts its investigation.
