A young woman claims she was sexually assaulted repeatedly while a patient at Seattle Children’s Hospital in a lawsuit filed last week.

Attorneys for the young woman, who was a high school sophomore at the time of the alleged assault in 2009, claim that too little is being done to protect children at the hospital, according to seattlepi.com. The attorneys also say records show their client was at least the fourth victim of sexual assault in the Laurelhurst neighborhood facility in the last five years.

Seattle Children’s, a University of Washington-affiliated nonprofit, declined to comment on the lawsuit and has not yet responded to the allegations in court.

In 2008 the hospital, responding to a similar case of sexual assault, assured the Seattle Times that improvements had been made in respect to procedures, observation levels, and camera and alarm use.
