Lawsuit Filed in Harvard Dorm Death

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The mother of a man who was fatally shot in a Harvard University dormitory has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the school.

Denise Cosby claims that Harvard allowed the operation of a “criminal enterprise” to take place in the dormitory, the Associate Press reports. Justin Cosby was shot by one of three men during a drug robbery in May 2009.

Denise Cosby’s lawyers said she believes her son would be alive if the university had followed its own policies.
