A man carrying a gun and threatening to commit suicide was shot and killed by police at St. Rose Hospital’s Sienna campus on March 11.
According to a witness, the 48-year-old unidentified male walked into the emergency room and announced he was going to kill himself. Then a woman told everyone to duck just prior to several shots being fired. Immediately afterward, everyone began evacuating the ER.
Police responded to the scene and shot the suspect who they say pointed a gun at them.
