Investigation Alleges Rampant Corruption in OSU Football Program

Widespread corruption, including drug use and some drug dealing by players, took place in Oklahoma State University’s (OSU) football program from 2001 to 2012, claims a special report from Sports Illustrated.

The publication interviewed more than 100 individuals, including 64 former players who allege widespread corruption at the school in its effort to build a winning football program. The series alleges the following:

  • OSU football players received under-the-table cash payments
  • Some players had their schoolwork done for them
  • Players were using drugs, and some were dealing them. Most of the use involved marijuana, but some players also used cocaine, hydrocodone pills and codeine syrup.
  • Some women in the hostess group for OSU’s football program had sex with recruits

OSU officials have vowed to investigate the allegations.
