Ind. District Proposes $1.3M Security Plan

ROSSVILLE, Ind. — The Rossville Consolidated School District has proposed a plan to spend $1.3 million to upgrade security.

The district plans to spend $548,000 to replace doors and windows, as well as install a buzzer security system, jconline.com reports. Additionally, officials plan to upgrade the lights in the main and auxiliary gyms, which would cost roughly $85,745. That project could potentially save the district $8,791 annually in energy savings.

The school board will vote on the plan on May 7. If approved, construction would take place during the 2013-14 school year.
