The State of Massachusetts’ Executive Office of Public Safety and Security and MEMA, and in partnership with the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association, has launched a statewide “See Something, Say Something” public awareness campaign to encourage the public to report suspicious behaviors to the police. “See Something, Say Something” was a program launched by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in 2010 to emphasize the importance of reporting suspicious activity, specifically behaviors indicative of or a precursor to terrorism, to state and local law enforcement agencies. The initiative highlights the important role the public and local information play in maintaining a safe environment and preventing terrorism.
