IAHSS Announces Annual Conference Line-up

The International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety Annual Conference & Exhibition will take place May 22-25 in Charlotte, N.C.

The International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) annual conference has exciting new learning opportunities this year, with three breakout sessions that will enable attendees to learn in a more intimate and interactive setting. Track 1 will be on leadership and management; Track 2 will focus on investigations, while Track 3 will be on safety/emergency management and risk management.

For attendees who prefer the more traditional IAHSS conference format, the event will also feature a general session. Topics will include:

  • Three Perspectives, One Goal: Reducing the Risk and Impact of Violence In Healthcare Facilities

  • Extreme Customer Service for Non-Clinical Staff in Healthcare
  • Make Actual Evidence Based Security Decisions: Avoiding Garbage-in/Garbage-out
  • Updates and Tips for a Successful Joint Commission
  • Body Cameras in a Healthcare Environment Ralph

Other sessions offered include a CHPA review, a chapter leadership session, an emergency management basics overview, a basic elements of healthcare security overview and a guidelines workshop.

The conference will also include a welcome reception, dinner at the NASCAR Hall of Fame and the IAHSS Foundation recognition banquet.
