IAHSS Midwinter Meeting Starts Feb. 18

GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Ill. – There is still space left for registration to the IAHSS Midwinter meeting. This year’s theme, “Establishing Best Practices for Healthcare Security and Safety,” has several outstanding speakers as well as an opportunity for participants to craft “best practices” they can take home to their institutions.

Thirty-year Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) veteran Dean Samet and Jerald Stewart, both of Smith Seckman Reid Inc. consulting firm, will lead a joint presentation on JCAHO visits designed just for security directors. Russ Jones will offer an outstanding program on expanding your value to the facility. Four breakout sessions facilitated by industry experts will allow participants to building best practices they can take home. The new IAHSS Guidelines developed by a blue ribbon committee will be presented by Russ Colling. Colling will lead attendees through the guidelines and show how they become blueprints for best practices. Finally, Tony York will offer participants security design considerations for both new construction and remodeling existing facilities.

The IAHSS Midwinter Meeting will be held, February 18-20, 2007; for more information on the program, visit www.iahss.org/midwinter_2007_welcome.asp.
