Acevedo believes good communication is vital for a successful community and steadily works to strengthen the bond between the community and its police department. An advocate for community policing, Chief Acevedo refers to the proven practice as “Relational Policing”, an opportunity to forge a relationship with each citizen an officer comes in contact with.

In addition to Chief Acevedo’s keynote presentation, the conference will feature a variety of educational and interactive sessions, case studies and panels on hot topics including:

  • Clery/Title IX compliance
  • K-12 school active shooters
  • Campus administration
  • Campus emergency management

Attendees will also be able to network with their peers and preview a variety of products and services from today’s top security and law enforcement solutions.
