Security Officer Accused of Attacking Patient in Stairwell

BALTIMORE — A security officer at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center has been accused of attacking a patient in a stairwell at the facility.

Kevin Porter, 47, has been charged with attempted rape, sex offense, assault and false imprisonment, WBAL reports. The alleged victim said she had left the facility and tried to catch a ride on a bus. She didn’t have enough money, so Porter offered to give her the funds and then led her to a rear stairwell where he allegedly attacked her.

The hospital immediately suspended Porter after hearing of the incident.
