Hospital Claims Media Trespassed, Has Reporters Detained

CHICAGO – A photographer and reporter were detained by Chicago police on Saturday as they tried to cover the shooting death of a 6-year-old girl. She was being treated at Mt. Sinai Hospital.

The hospital security officers called the police, saying the members of the media tried to trespass into a secure area of the hospital, reports NBC Chicago. The news crew claim, however, that they did not go into the facility. At the time of their detention, they were standing on the median of a public sidewalk.

Both were released and not charged with any crime.
