A 17-year-old high school student was shot multiple times on a Louisiana High School campus on Dec. 11. Her alleged gunman – a 28-year-old man – has been arrested and charged with the attack.
Tammie Spates was shot at as she arrived at her Booker T. Washington High School in Shreveport, La. She suffered multiple wounds but is expected to survive.
Tony Holden is charged with one count each of attempted second-degree murder and felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, reports the Shreveport Times. Police believe Holden was romantically involved with the teen.
According to Shreveport Police Chief Henry Whitehorn, police apprehended the alleged gunman only an hour after the shooting. No faculty or other students were injured.
