An 18-year-old high school student was stabbed to death after being caught having sexual relations with his 48-year old math teacher. The suspect was the female teacher’s 20-year-old boyfriend, who was also a former student of hers, according to police.

The suspect, a Navy sailor on leave from California, has been charged with second-degree murder. The man allegedly confessed to police about the murder; however, he said he never intended to kill him, according to Fox News.

The suspect found the student in his boxers and the teacher naked in the teacher’s home on April 10. The suspect allegedly stabbed the victim in an attempt to show him how hurt he was by finding the 18-year-old with his girlfriend.

The math teacher was employed at El Dorado High School in Chandler, Ariz.
