High School Cafeteria Worker Fatally Shot by Ex-Husband

KATY, Texas—Tompkins High School cafeteria worker Valerie Robinson was shot and killed by her ex-husband as she was getting out of her vehicle at the school Thursday morning.

A coach and parent witnessed the shooting, reports ABC-13. She was rushed to the hospital but died of her injuries.

The suspect was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in him home four hours later.

The Katy ISC school was never placed on lockdown due to the shooting occurring at 6:30 a.m.
