Hacked University Radio Station Broadcasts Profanity

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — Oakwood University officials are investigating an incident in which the university’s Christian campus radio station broadcasted profanities on Sept. 10.

University officials believe the radio station, WJOU, was hacked, The Huntsville Times reports. Oakwood spokeswoman Michele Solomon said the hackers got into the system when it was on auto-programming.

A university press release stated, “WJOU will file all necessary reports and take all necessary precautions to safeguard Oakwood University’s campus station from being victimized by any future hacking attempts.”
